Join the mission... At FreedomHouse we recognize the need for membership. So we invite everyone who attends our church, to become a member for 4 reasons: #1 - A Biblical Reason: In our mission to be like Christ, we must also be committed to the church as Christ was. Eph. 5:25 "..Christ loved the church and gave himself up for it."1 Cor 12:27 “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it” Eph 2:19 “... you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household”#2 - A Cultural Reason: It is an antidote to our society. We live in an age where very few want to be committed to anything... a job, a marriage, our country. This attitude has even produced a generation of “church shoppers & hoppers”. Membership swims against the current of America’s “consumer religion”. It is an unselfish decision. Commitment always builds character.#3 - A Practical Reason: It defines who can be counted on. Every team must have a roster. Every school must have an enrollment. Every army has an enlistment. Even our country takes a census of citizens and encourages participation. Membership identifies our family.#4 - A Personal Reason: It produces spiritual growth. The New Testament places a major emphasis on the need for Christians to be accountable to each other for spiritual growth. You cannot be accountable when you’re not committed to any specific church family. -Eph2:19, 1 Cor 12, Acts 2,What are the benefits of becoming a member? First of all let me say, this isn’t Blockbuster, it isn’t a country club, and it isn’t 24-Hour Fitness. You don’t join for the perks. (Although members do enjoy greater access to The FreedomHouse, and certain volunteer opportunities only available to members). The benefit is that we get to worship Jesus together, serve in His kingdom together, and be children of God together! Being a Christian is not a solo effort. Scripture calls us a body, a family, a household (Eph 2:19-20). In community we enjoy the guidance that his Word provides. New Life Classes The success of a Christian life is rooted in our spiritual growth. Our New Life Classes are the discipleship process at FreedomHouse. We believe the call of Jesus is to become a fully devoted follower of Christ, the bible calls this a Disciple. *Our New Life Classes are held beginning every first Sunday of the month at 1pm. Class 101 - New Heart This class explains and expounds on how to live out the New Heart Christ has given us through dedication to Him. -ref Ezekiel 36:26 Class 201 - New MindThis class clearly explains how according to Rom 12:2, that our lives will be transformed by the renewing of our minds in God's word. In this class you'll learn how to overcome the battlefield of the mind.Class 301 - Membership This class is for those who are ready to "join the team" here at FreedomHouse and become an active member in "Changing our world ONE life at a time" Class 401 - New Life This class foucses on how our mission of a New Life in Christ is a call to be a Great Leader, serving a Great God, who wants a Great Church, producing Great People and achieving Great things. Matthew 7:9 says that if you ask for bread will he give you a stone? I am confident that if you come expecting a word from the Lord. He will be faithful to give it to you! WHEN DO WE MEET?We meet on the third Monday of every month at The FreedomHouse at 7:00p.m. Afterwards we enjoy a meal and fellowship in our in house cafe... All women are welcome!WHY DO WE MEET?The reason these gatherings are so special is because you will be mingling with other women who are going through a lot of the same things you are! You will find that you are NOT abnormal, you are not singled out in this life but you are a part of something far greater than yourself...God!
